    Large Varicose Veins

     
    Venous Laser Ablation is the newest and most effective treatment for large varicose veins.  A thin laser is inserted into the effected vein through a small incision.  Closure of damaged vein results from the heat-activated laser.  This procedure does not require anesthesia and is performed in an out-patient setting at The Cosmetic Surgery Center.  Patients are given a local anesthetic and a mild sedation.  Recovery is within a 24 hour period for most patients.

    Small to Medium Varicose Veins & Spider Veins

     
    Sclerotherapy is used in the treatment of small to medium varicose veins and spider veins.  A hypertonic solution is injected into the vein causing the vein to collapse.  The vein, as a result, is absorbed by the body and disappears.  This is a local procedure, not requiring anesthesia.  This is an extremely successful treatment.
