Breast Augmentation (Augementation Mammaplasty)

Breast augmentation is a surgical procedure to increase or enhance the size/shape of your breasts with either silicone or saline implants.  Breast augmentation can give women with small or unevenly sized breasts a fuller, firmer, better-proportioned look through the placement of implants in the breast. Implants also are used to improve uneven, asymmetrical or misshapen breasts. Women may elect to undergo breast augmentation for many different medical and aesthetic reasons such as: balancing breast size and compensating for reduced breast mass after pregnancy or surgery. The procedure may be combined with others such as a breast lift to provide a more youthful result.

Mastopexy (Breast Lift)

Mastopexy (breast lift) is a procedure designed to elevate and reshape the breast.  Sagging or loose breasts as a result of pregnancy, weight loss or natural aging can be corrected with this procedure.  A breast lift repositions the nipple, areola and underlying tissue into a new, higher location.  A variety of techniques may be used to reach the best result.  These are patient specific.  Overall, following a breast lift, you will see more youthful, full, higher and even shaped breasts.

Breast Reduction (Reduction Mammaplasty)

Large breasts may cause physical and mental discomfort and can even harm the women who have them -- the size and weight of large breasts can result in self-consciousness, improper posture, pain in the back and neck, indentations from bra straps, skin rashes, breathing problems and skeletal deformities. Breast reduction surgery is usually done to provide physical relief from these symptoms.

Performed under general anesthesia, this procedure removes fat and glandular tissue and trims resultant excess skin to produce smaller, lighter breasts that are in a healthier proportion to the rest of the body.

Gynecomastia (Male Breast Reduction)

Although rarely discussed, enlarged male breasts is a common condition. Gynecomastia affects approximately 40 to 60 percent of men. There is no known cause, although there has been some correlation with various drugs or medical conditions. Men who feel self-conscious about their appearance are helped with breast-reduction surgery. The procedure removes fat and/or glandular tissue from the breasts, and in extreme cases removes excess skin, resulting in a contoured chest that is flatter and firmer.
